Scottish healthtech company Infix Support has received its first contract from NHS Lothian. The business was established in 2019 by consultant anesthetist Dr. Matthew Freer. In order to increase surgical operating room productivity and clear backlogs on patient waiting lists, it has created cloud-based software called infix: Schedule. It has also created a virtual portal called infix: Preop to streamline the patient route.
The agreement with NHS Lothian comes after a fruitful clinical trial in which Infix improved operating room usage by 27% with NHS Lanarkshire. According to a second independent assessment by the University of Stirling, NHS Lothian’s usage of infix: Schedule has the potential to boost theater productivity by as much as 37%.
